The Cock of the Rock lek is only a fifteen minute walk from the Lodge. Yesterday I walked with guests in the misty weather to the forest and we were treated to a great view of this startling red, raucous, flamboyant bird.
The Toucan Barbet is one of the most colorful birds of the Ecuadorian Cloud Forest. This bird was perched behind my house.
